Web Accessibility Standards
The University’s web resources shall be deployed in a manner that ensures that all members of our community, including individuals with disabilities, have access to University information. University Web Accessibility Standards serve our community in this manner and help further ensure the University’s compliance with applicable legislation and recommended standard practices.
Upon request, University Web page content must be made available to any individual who requires access to the information by revising the web page so the content is accessible or through an alternative method. Depending on the page content, this alternative method could be hardcopy, phone, fax, email, traditional mail, etc. The unit responsible for the web page is responsible for providing such access in a timely manner.
Responsibility for Meeting Standards
Generally, each department/unit responsible for web pages is responsible for ensuring that its Web pages are in compliance with these requirements and the EKU Web Accessibility Standards. Web authors, including instructors, are responsible for the accessibility of web content they create and edit.
